In 2014 Colt submitted a proposal for the India government Multi-Caliber Assault Rifle (MCAR). The base rifle for the Colt proposal was the 5.56mm 6940 design which was designated RO923I. A complete Colt proposal weapon set was one base rifle, RO923I plus one 7.62×39 6940 upper receiver assembly which was designated RO913I762. Shown in the photo below was proposed commercial variant of the RO923I is at appeared at SHOT SHOW in 2014. The India rifle/upper receiver set is quite different as you will see as I get this section updated. (updated 27JAN2019)
